Dr. Est-Witte is an Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. She received a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from Washington University in St. Louis and a PhD in biomedical engineering from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where she developed polymeric particle systems for immune and stem cell engineering. She was a postdoctoral fellow and Senior Professional Staff at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, where she focused on biomaterials development, microphysiological systems, and public health. Dr. Est-Witte is interested in translational research at the intersection of biomaterials, immunoengineering, and regenerative medicine.
